Bought a 1999 volvo on 10/05/2007, after a inspection by the "mechanic" of the company I was leasing it to I fixed 1 sway bar and 3 lights, the mechanic reinspected and cleared it on a Federal D.O.T. I then signed papers to buy. The company would not let me get it inspected any where else. On 10/14/2007 going north on Hi 65 exit 14 70mph,the wore out drag link/ pittman arm came off, went over a guard rail rolled truck, totaled. Tennessee highway patrol wanted to know " Who in the hell inspected this truck" I was given no violations as it was clear what happend. The next day the company blew me off, and the mechanic said "I could not move it with my hands so it was okay." 2 weeks later some idiot from the home office calls to inform me " we are breaking your lease because you let your truck get in such bad shape." I started to explain ad this guy says " I do not care what happend it is going to be your fault o matter what." Please E-mail and and all comments and suggestions on this.
