was called Monday morning for a random drug test.the test sight is 80 miles away and i have one vehicle for my wife and kids.took a load that night and was delayed at a back haul until 330pm tuesday and then was stopped by d.o.t for a lever 3 inspection.by the time i arrived at the test facility they were closed.i took a load that night and was out of hours so i came home to sleep and then i was going to go. Wednesday morning my safty mang. called me and left me a message that he did not see the paper work for the test and he is going to put me out-of-service.5 hrs later my wife called to let him know that she was going to take me and his reply was"dont bother contract cancelled and he is fired"i took the test anyway and it came back neg.but now they put it on my drivers report that i refused to test but i never did.now no company will hire me its been 2 months and im getting ready to lose everything i have.im an o/o and cant even get i job as a bagboy at publix.....i think this fmcsa law needs to be revised for people who do abuse drugs and not for someone like me who has been driving for 12+ yrs and never failed or refused to test. Florida..please help...
